These is a no-name product from who knows where. If you search amazon there are hundreds of similar ones selling for $15-$20 so this is no deal at all.

Also, saving a few bucks on eye protection can lead to a life of regret. Just buy from one of the legit brands during their sales event.
I ski 30-50 days a year.
I've used OM pro goggles for the last 5+.
Work perfectly fine for an expert skier, for well more than 1M feet of vert last year.

If you like, you're welcome to imagine that "insert-whatever-steezy-brand-you-like" is far better - be my guest.
But IMO, no goggle lens is going to make vis markedly better than a similar VLT from OM.
Might it be slightly better? *Perhaps.*

But again, these work just fine.
Flat light is just flat light - get used to it, and ski by braille.
Take some Dramamine.

Every polycarbonate lens gives complete UV protection, so that's not an excuse either.

Spend more, if you like.
But unless you're really focused on wearing a specific logo on your head, or believe incredibly minor differences are worth an order of magnitude more $$$, then get these.
These are obviously no-name chinese goggles, but that doesn't mean they can't be decent for occasional use. They look fairly well-made, specs are good (polarized, anti-fog, etc.), and they're FAR cheaper than the so-called legit brands, even when on sale.

I own multiple pairs of ski goggles, from $300 name brands to mid-grades to $25 cheapies, and each pair has its purpose. I see no reason to spend $100+ for amber lenses for my I/O Mags when I can get a polarized amber lens on these cheapies for $15. Particularly since I'll only be using the ambers on a handful of foggy mornings and a maybe for a few hours of night skiing. And if these suck, I'll just return them.

I picked up pairs of 10, 20 & 65 VLT of the non wide version for a total of 61.66. Wide version did not have a high value VLT version available. Perfect for bringing 1 pair of goggles with me to the slopes with the 2 other lenses to switch out if the conditions change.

As always DYOR, but here's what I found without much searching. Also I've had several pairs of the pro goggles that are highly rated on Amazon and they have been great. Not exactly no name when there are over 8k reviews on Amazon and they sponsor pros.

Excellent point, I've been snowboarding for 5 years and I can say this brand "Outdoor Master" isn't a cheap brand and you see it on the mountain regularly. I've had other brands and I always lean back on this brand since their anti fog seems to work well

I have their MIPS bike helmet, depends on what "legit" brands you mean, the helmet has much better construction and friendly design than the Bell and Giro brand I also have.

They do share the store of their company on their website.

I can weigh in on a different Outdoor Master model that goes for $33 at the moment.

I really like the Outdoor Masters Pro series goggles. I've used them for three seasons and only had the issue of them fogging when I get really hot hiking a park feature. I know they are cheap, so I have gone out of my way to ensure they go back in their case when they aren't in use. This season, I upgraded to the Oakley Flight Deck and still have that same fogging issue when I get really hot. From a functional standpoint, the Outdoor Masters Pro work just as well for me and are easier to swap lenses than the Oakley.

This is an awful take and clearly someone who knows nothing about this company, as well as ski gear.

What a scam.
Who is buying ski goggles with overnight temps in the 20s and lower as a result of global warming, climate change, greenhouse effect, etc?
Wake up people, the globe is warming and temperatures are dropping into the teens or lower even in the far south of the US so you won't need this junk.

Just stop lol

New to ski, any suggestion?
Yes, don't listen to this guy. You don't need $250 Oakleys. You may not even like snow sports and use them once or twice and totally wasted your money. These are totally fine.

Looks like the OTG ones still work (second code) but the regular horizon code no longer works

What's a good starter VLT rating to buy first for someone that lives in the Midwest? Will only be used with snowtubing, snow blower and other non ski activities in the winter.
