Purchased one of these last summer. This shoe is absolute garbage. Cheap construction and low quality materials. Awful.
I'm reading reviews that these sneakers are 'garbage' well let me just put this out there. I'm not a runner but I am a long-distance walker 20k/steps 5/7 days/week. I have 3 pair of these sneakers and they are absolutely perfect for walking. So, if you're a walker or just a daily user you shouldn't regret this purchase at all!

5 STARS.
Agreed. I recommend the triumph 20's. Theyre dumping their old stock on us in promoted deals

I run on an average 6–10 miles a day rain or shine on flat roads, and these shoes are pretty good for running. The general issues I had in other shoes were like burning feet, low back pain and knee issues, but since I started using these shoes no issues. I had bought 2 pairs last year, and they all lasted me close to 1000 miles. I don't mind grabbing a few of them again, they are nice shoes and very cheap.

A 1,000 miles? You have to be kidding or exaggerating. The Axon is a slight step above department store grade athletic shoes in terms of material quality. PWRRUN is a very firm and boring compound. Supposedly, Saucony can and does tweak the durometer on PWRRUN to suit the application but nowadays the company uses this midsole compound on their lower end running shoes or as carrier foams to encase Pebax foam shoes such as the Tempus and Xodus Ultra to add support. Even in the latter case the results have yielded problems because of the large contrast in firmness between the PWRRUN and the livelier Pebax. In single density applications such as the Guide, Ride, and Kinvara PWRRUN feels dead. The Axon shoes have lower quality uppers and insoles than those aforementioned models.

When you can get the Ride for nearly as cheap as the Axon there's no reason to go with the interior product. Even the Pebax $150 Xodus Ultra trail shoe is currently available for $70. The plusher Triumph 19 has also been on deep discount here and there.

Anyways, I have tried a few different Saucony models this past year and none of the models impressed me nor was I able to run comfortably in them and in some cases I didn't even make it out of the house with them because the fit was off or some other glaring problem. In one case Saucony sent errantly sent me some factory defects with the wrong size marked on the tags.

Saucony is clearly undergoing some sort of business disarray and duress. The countless number of firesale discounts across their entire product range over the past 12 months points to either a significant drop in demand or mismanagement of their inventory book.

I am serious, you can verify the numbers yourself, in the past year I covered 2504 miles, using 3 pairs of shoes; 2 Axons and 1 Nike. I am not trying to compare the Axon to other shoes, generally, the more you spend, the better the product. In my experience, Axon has been very good, the soles remained durable even towards the end of their life, it was the upper fabric that deteriorated. Shoes can make a big difference, and it depends on personal preference, comfort, and foot type, it worked for me, but it may not be suitable for others.

You're definitely an outlier.

Run a few east coast marathons during the year and have tried a few saucony shoes. For more rigorous runs/marathons they fall short, for your daily normal jog, they do fine.

Have had to run from Police officers several times and these didn't hold up. Sole broke in half mid jumping fence. Would highly recommend new balance for anything with you and fleeing the scene of criminal activity.

I agree. I am a weaker runner and need more of a handicap, so the full critical assessment definitely gives me a sense of the realities for those who absolutely NEED upper echelon equipment to participate without complaints.

I saw a review on Saucony.com , someone said shoes are good for full marathon, not sure if this is true.
