Are these split points decent for preventing walking or is it better to get brad point bits? There's a DeWalt set of brad point bits also on sale at Amazon.

For $10 this is a decent set but they do tend to walk. I don't have any of the "pilot point" bits but it seems like you'd have the same walking issue as a regular split point. True brad point bits won't have that issue but you will pay more.
