You're on Slickdeals. People on here are always onto the next deal. Not only is the digital version more expensive, it's tied to your Nintendo account and you can't resell it in the future if you get tired of it, want to move on to another title, or outright want to sell your switch. Having a dozen cartridge games is worth hundreds. Having a dozen of the same digital titles is worth $0.
It seems like your point is to convince people to pay double for a product that they could never resell. The counter argument is to pay half and you have the option to sell it at any time for any reason. This decision seems like a no-brainer, but I fully expect you to keep arguing your point. Either way, Im going with the cheaper version I can resell, this is Slickdeals after all.

I believe his point was why purchase the physical game for a a game which is a code-in-a-box title. That said, I do not know whether this game is a code-in-a-box title or whether the cartridge contains the game, but also requires an additional partial download for the remaining content. I believe it's the latter of the two, but again am not positive.
If you want to resell the cartridge down the line.
Selling works now. It won't one day. It means whomever controls the server has the ability to make your game no longer download. Games that cannot fit onto cartridges are only worth it if you plan to sell after beating, not years down the road when they may not work.
It is a shame that a lot of switch games are just not going to work one day.
It is funny that it is not all on the cartridge or that they did not foot the bill to include a second cartridge. This game is a reimagining of a game that was originally on the Playstation 1, using two discs.

Is this game any good?
Came to the comments to see if people enjoyed this game and if it is worth this price. Guess we are having a different discussion lol
NintendoLife gave it 5 out of 10[nintendolife.com]. They reported cumbersome crafting, sluggish controls, and frustrating checkpoints. I think I'll pass.
Nintendo's site says the full game is 11.2 GB. According to an Amazon review, you only need to download 5GB. In any case, this means there is no reason to buy the physical version.

If you have multiple owners of switches in your household and share carts so everyone can play any game without the need for accounts to be on each other's switches in order to allow downloads and sharing of a downloaded game bought on one account to be used on another's switch. There are pros and cons to both physical and digital games. One size does not fit all.

True story. Also, this is not physical, which was my whole point. Shouldn't be too hard to get.

Ooh, thanks for the warning! I did some research and found out there is an Enhanced Version of Soulstorm released for Xbox One, Xbox Series S&X, PS4, PS5, and Steam (PC). This includes lots of improvements and is said to be much better according to the article I found on Eurogamer.net[eurogamer.net]
I did some searching and found on eBay copies of Oddworld Soulstorm for as low as $16.99 for PS4 (Like-New), $18.00 (PS5, Brand New). On Amazon you can find it for $17.99 (PS4, brand new), better price than eBay. And the Xbox One/Xbox Series S&X version is $29.99 on Amazon. These are all "Day One" or the Enhanced version.
If you want it for Switch then buy it from Amazon, as the $25 price isn't being offered anywhere else. But the Nintendo Life review wasn't kind, so I think another platform may be a better choice for this game.
I think the price for PS5 is fantastic! I don't have a PS5 though, so I decided on the Xbox version. $29.99 is a fair deal at Amazon, but not great. Best Buy has it for the same price right now. It's about $10 off what you can get it for via Xbox Store (digital copy though - I prefer a physical game I think). The Xbox version also has some exclusive content included, and for the PS version you can buy an add-on for some additional gameplay. So these are bonuses that don't come with the Switch version.
While I was searching on Amazon I saw the "Oddworld Collection" for Nintendo Switch was on sale for $37.99. This includes 3 games: Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee; Oddworld: New 'n Tasty; Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath. I have New 'n Tasty already for Xbox, but like the idea of having all 3 games on one cartridge & portable on the Switch. The reviews at Metacritic[metacritic.com] looked pretty good so I decided I'll give it a try.
Maybe you should learn how to read. When did I say that you should buy the digital one? I am just saying that $25 for a cartridge that can't function without a download is not a deal; it's not even a real product.
It is Slickdeals after all, that's why I am buying neither.
What a weird hill to die on. I think their point is; regardless of the fact that it requires a download for the game's content, is that you can use and sell(!!!) the game cartridge later on, which includes an unlimited amount of licenses to download the game's content (as long as the switch eshop is open) instead of paying $50 for a digital one-time use license that's tied to your nintendo account. It's honestly not too hard of a concept to grasp.

Sure, I said it before: buy something, use it once, then resell it. You guys are onto something.
FYI, I purchaed the Xbox Series X/S/One version of Oddworld Soulstorm: Enhanced version and I'm enjoying it! Played the 1st two levels. Challenging and fun, some sections are frustrating (as you'd expect) as the game can get annoying at points as the difficulty seems WAY too challenging. But usually when this happens it's because I didn't see the best way how to solve a level (it's a platform/puzzle game).
But overall I'm very glad I got it. $29 for the Xbox version looks like a good deal. I've gotten a few hours of play out of it so far.

Could be wrong, but I don't think soulstorm is on the collection.
