I requested an unlock from the AT&T website without a SIM. It took six days, and I didn't have to go to Microsoft.

I got this phone last year. It's a great "device with a phone function ". Using it for a few months I find that it's not suitable for my daily life. You have to flip the phone open every time to see who is calling or messaging or just any notifications. It's hard when you have to take a quick picture on the fly. The things I like are, it's fast, 256gb/6gb ram, and you can run two apps at the same time and screen. But I sold it and bought a different phone. For this price I'm thinking about buying it again as a second device/backup phone.

Edit:
As apparently mentioned above, can't always trust ctrl-F5 it would seem.

On another note, there is once again a prime shipping eligible Amazon listing for $248 if that is one's preference.

I am getting this after going through AT&T portal:

We can't unlock this device for you because AT&T did not sell or activate it.

How are you guys getting it unlocked?
