Can anyone comment on whether HR Block or FreeTaxUSA allow for easy importing of stock trades? I used TaxSlayer last year, and got sick of typing in every trade that happened. But I also hate TurboTax on principle

Depends on the trading platform used. Each tax software provider allows import (API pull or PDF import) by a select set of trading platforms. Otherwise you have to enter the data manually.

It should. I always use TT weather I get a PIN for online use or the physical TT software disk. If you do it from the same computer it pulls info from previous year tax returns!

You have to download the 2021 return from your online account and import it into the software for 2022.

I purchased Federal and State. I want to do my daughter's Federal tax so do I need to install the program on another computer OR can I just complete her taxes on my computer?

You can do multiple returns on the same PC/installation. I think up to 5 returns, I do my kids' each year along with mine.

The cost is an $40 per additional state. In 2022 I worked at a job in state, and also my current job out of state.

Any way to get a discount on that extra $40?
