What is Neo QLED now? I swear, marketing people are responsible for more new tech than the engineers

I've come to the realization that these threads are just drunken bar discussions. Anyone can pretty much say or ask anything without regard to relevancy, veracity or good taste. The misinformation essentially becomes a punishment for anyone posing questions that could be answered by the simplest google search. As Dogbert once said, "There are no stupid questions, but there are a lot of inquisitive idiots."

This is a killer deal by the way. The $1260 deal was restricted to those qualifying for special programs like EPP or EDU.

Is anyone else not getting to the right link on AAA.com. I can't get the link to populate
If you're having trouble, try signing into your AAA account first. Then go to Discounts in your AAA account and look for Samsung, it should be under Electronics.

You're welcome! Did you just request the 2 year warranty?

edit: I just asked about any specials and warranties and the Expert offered the free 2 year warranty. Thanks!
Glad to see they did it for you already!

For anyone else unsure how to ask (like I was earlier)

I told them I was interested in buying the TV and was hoping to add on the 2 year plan. They quoted $499. My response back was that Costco is offering a promotion on the LG alternative with 4 years included. I'd like to go with this TV instead and was wondering if there was any way to include the 2 year at no cost.

They will mention they need to ask for approval, but come back with confirmation that it was shortly after.

You will confirm your contact and shipping details. Afterwards, they will send you a link to an updated cart with the TV and warranty (at $0 cost).

From there you check out as normal.

Hope that helps!

Those Samsung monkies will do anything to get good chat feedback. Just straight up ask to throw in an extended warranty. The warranty is a bargaining tool for them. They'll never say no.

Under normal lighting conditions OLED is more than enough. If you have a sunroom or a room with ridiculous light then yes the 90 and 95 are solid
Yeah. I have a C2 OLED in my bedroom that gets a lot of natural light during the day and my TV still looks phenomenal and more than bright enough. I will never understand the need for brighter and brighter. Contrast is far more important than brightness. QD OLED is great. I'm not saying I wouldn't get that once it becomes better and doesn't have all the quality control issues, but the people who specifically go with QLED over OLED, because of brightness, are silly. Brightness doesn't equal best picture quality. OLED is just better than QLED, overall.

I was second guessing OLED brightness until I bought my A80j. It's bright enough that I keep the room light sensor on otherwise it's *too* bright in many situations. And this is in my living room with a west-facing bay window that I thought was "bright".

When people say OLED doesn't get bright enough for "bright rooms" they must have sunlight shining directly on the screen or something. But then again I know some people who keep their phones at max brightness 24/7 which is... baffling.

Oh well, some people like it I guess.

Help me decide!!!! I wasn't looking to spend this much, but if the TV is good enough and it's a good deal.... I might.

I have a lower end Samsung curved tv {Samsung un65nu7300} I got on here for a super slick deal but I'm looking to replace it and have it down to my kiddos. Pretty normal viewing, mostly tv shows a lot of sports and a movie every once in awhile

Just out of curiosity, if you have 2 year warranty from Samsung, if you buy it with a cc that double's the manufacturer warranty….does that mean we get 4 years of warranty or two years??

Be wary buying off Samsung. I've had a really bad experience. It's not like a Local store where if you find any issue with the screen you can just bring it back. They will schedule you an appointment that will come randomly. Sometimes they don't even show up. I had missed work 3 days waiting for them telling me a specific time but they never show up. The person replacing the screen told me the screen is not brand new when they replaced it for you at your house. Nothing but headache. But if you got yourself a nice screen with no issues than congratulation.
