No they are for wood only. Sometimes people confuse them with a metal and wood drill bit called a pilot point which can be used for both. These are WOOD only.

You would need to be drilling for some sort of tree that you could extract oil from, like the oil palm tree. You could probably drill for maple syrup also as a secondary option, but that's not oil.
