I always used to have dry, hard cracked heels. Then I started filing the thick dry skin off with a foot file, and using losion at night. No more thick dry cracked skin - ever. Ya gotta file it off. No amount of balm will help you remove the dead krusted skin.

This works wonders for my feet, which seem to get painfully cracked and dry in the winter time. The stick lasted me about a year. Perfect timing on the deal.

Get A&D ointment instead. It's been working for decades and used widely in hospitals. Apply 2-3x a day after shower and before sleep. Much better result than any expensive ointment

Has anyone here used Baby Feet before? I was thinking about it but it's $25 and that's not slick.

"Enriched with an ideal amount of urea (25%)"

"Urea, also known as carbamide, is a safe, useful compound with a significant history. It is a naturally occurring molecule that is produced by protein metabolism and found abundantly in mammalian urine."

That being said it's probably not made from pee.

If you have "severe cracked heels" then you have a thyroid issue. Go see a thyroid specialist(not an endo) and get some T4, vitamin D and (probably) iron and it'll likely go down. If not maybe you need T3 too.
$3.33 for me on subscription which was nice.
I will likely use your thyroid tips. not sure what t4 is.

It may have already been said, but get yourself a foot file, and gently file down your heels every couple of weeks.

Ideally, you'll want to wash your feet first with warm water and soap to soften the skin.

Wipe off excess water, then gently file off the excess skin build up on your heels. Some people might find filing their heels a bit uncomfortable, some are fine with it. I use a fine skin filer every week since I do yoga and kickboxing classes barefoot.

After filing your heels, a shower would be ideal. Dry your heels, and put some lotion on it.

It may sound like a lot of work, but it's worth it. I hope this comment can help someone.
