Its GI level is over 100 compared to sugar (65).

This isn't a health food. It's for people who want a low calorie alternative. In the quantities this would be consumed, your point is utterly irrelevant. When it comes to weight loss, consuming fewer calories is all that matters.

Okay, and you do understand that type 2 diabetes goes hand-in-hand with losing weight, correct? And that any type 2 diabetic should be limiting EVERYTHING that can spike blood sugar as much as possible.

Never mind the fact that people are going to read sugar free, especially diabetics, and think that it's safe to consume as much as they want.

Exactly! Applause And the fact that they highlight that it's sugar-free means that they are somewhat promoting to people trying to watch their sugar intake (meaning being concerned about blood sugar spikes.) That company knows it's being devious. Thanks for pointing the Maltodextrin out. I try to avoid it as a sugar substitute.
