Highly recommend this one over Dyson V8 (haven't used anything newer than that). Extra battery and the docking system are very useful on this one. We use it everyday and have no complains so far.
LG has a 10yr warranty (5 for Dyson) and you don't have to hold down trigger while using. These were two big things for me.

Ah and I forgot to mention how much I love the docking station.
Having owned both, LG is the way to go. Got mine on sale at Costco in November.

I have this. Bought it used for $50. At that price it's okay, but honestly any corded upright vacuum blows the doors of this thing.

It's convenient due to it's corded nature and I find this sometimes helps with making it easier for me to quickly vacuum, but on high mode the battery only last 6 minutes and still is honestly weak. If you're using this as a quick picker upper - fine, but it's an expensive one even at $300.

My 10+ year old traditional cordless upright vacuum I got for $6 at a thrift store is much better in terms of overall suction, attachments, beater bar agitation and, obviously, suction. But you do have to plug it in.

Overall I'd pass and just get a regular vacuum and a cheaper little mess cleaner handheld vacuum. But that's just my 2¢.

Agreed, no more cordless vacuums for me.

I've got mostly tile with a rug or two. I want to be able to vacuum it all without changing heads. Would this one from HD work for that?

Or the variant that Costco sells?

This looks like the same exact head, I think it'll work great! I'd definitely mess with the 3 power levels when doing the rugs, might have to turn it down a little lower to avoid getting it sucked up.

I get that, but things advance and Dyson's bin has a way to scrape it from the inner housing that's pretty neat as opposed to just knocking the shit out of it or reaching up in there into dead skin and hair to pull shit out.

I just noticed the Costco model is $299.97. The .97 price ending indicates it's a clearance item that will not be re-stocked. I may look at my local warehouse tonight.

I'll pile on. I owned a similarly priced Dyson (don't remember the exact model) but it was more hassle and broke on me (had a horrible experience trying to go through their service dept., but that's beside the point). I bought the LG on sale at Costco over a year ago and it works great, love the base, extra battery, easy to maintain. 100% recommend over Dyson.
That's how I felt about my old Dyson v8 Animal. The Dyson already had a busted brush head attachment after a year. That was $150 to replace.

The LG CordZero A906SM is still alive and kicking with the original parts and its first battery 1.5 yrs later. Only annoyance I have with the LG is that emptying the trash bin is more difficult if there's long hair that traps the dust in the bin. Dyson's trash bin has the middle part lift up so it pushes it all out.

Mine did come with the soft rolling brush but that was a sale a while ago for $250ish

I went through two of these. After use especially if you intend to vacuum hair. The motor goes bad fast. You will hear unstable vacuum strength that goes up and down. Lg vacuums are terrible.

I'm with Samsung now.

Ok, this isn't Dyson price. You obviously get what you pay for. I can knock shit out and reach in it then go wash my hands like everyone has been doing for years.

Did I ever say it was a big deal? It's not and I do it, but it wouldn't take a whole lot to implement a sliding mechanism as Dyson did on the V15, that's all I'm saying. Have a nice day.

This or the Samsung bespoke? I got the bespoke on a slick desk this morning but may cancel for this instead…

The v12 detect slim does not have a trigger that you have to hold. Just an on/off button. I think it's the only model like that.

I tried both. The LG has a very small diet intake hoke which clogs up very fast. You also have to remove the filter every use to clean it.

The V12 is way better. It's more powerful and much easier to clean. I wound up keeping the V12 and I am extremely happy with it.
