I got these about 6 months ago for this price and it hasn't gone up at my store. I don't think people realize how cheap they are as they're mixed in with the other pricier large ones and the tags aren't up for these. When I got mine they had to get some unloaded and they thought I was wrong on the price. They seemed to think I was going to say nevermind after they were rung up. Anyway, I'm happy with them. I ran across reviews that mentioned them fading quickly. 've had mine on my deck so can't say I've seen it.

oh. wanted to add that they're delicate. There were quite a few chipped ones at the store when I got mine. I haven't had any break but I could see them chipping fairly easily if you weren't careful.

As long as you don't get the painted ones. All three of mine are bubbled up, ugly, and even some large pieces have sluffed off the rim.

Nice pots. Seems they have been this price for about 7 months now . Picked up some then and then they came on SD about 5 months ago . Don't think the price ever went back to full. But the pots are nice !!

I know they're Terra cotta. Can they be spray painted? Would they make good planters on steps.

Eh the way I see it it's a cheap way to get a decent big clay pot for getting some plants started or something. You can't even find plastic planters this cheap. I guess you could also try painting them to see if that'll help, but yeah the surface does chip away after a while. I got 10 of these last year for a number of outdoor shrubs that I was going to end up planting into the ground come spring.

I have the planters in both sizes and they are well worth the price (especially if you need the larger 15" planter). I find them rustic and to my taste. The side of the planter(s) is much thicker than other terra cotta clay pots. Mine are the non-painted version and I did not notice any painted ones when I bought them in store over the last few months.
