I got these about 6 months ago for this price and it hasn't gone up at my store. I don't think people realize how cheap they are as they're mixed in with the other pricier large ones and the tags aren't up for these. When I got mine they had to get some unloaded and they thought I was wrong on the price. They seemed to think I was going to say nevermind after they were rung up. Anyway, I'm happy with them. I ran across reviews that mentioned them fading quickly. 've had mine on my deck so can't say I've seen it.

oh. wanted to add that they're delicate. There were quite a few chipped ones at the store when I got mine. I haven't had any break but I could see them chipping fairly easily if you weren't careful.

As long as you don't get the painted ones. All three of mine are bubbled up, ugly, and even some large pieces have sluffed off the rim.

See desktop site.

Nice pots. Seems they have been this price for about 7 months now . Picked up some then and then they came on SD about 5 months ago . Don't think the price ever went back to full. But the pots are nice !!

I know they're Terra cotta. Can they be spray painted? Would they make good planters on steps.
Yes, although they may chip easier long-term. You could use a base of terra-cotta spray paint (basic colours) and then cover with a secondary coat of brighter colours.

I bought a bunch of these last year. They are painted with a "pinkish" color that starts flaking off after 6 months or so if used outside, revealing a more orange base color that I assume is not sealed. This happened so far to about half of the pots I bought. I don't know if painting would help seal them better or if the new paint would also just flake off.

They still work fine as planters and are a good deal at this price, as long as you're aware of, and not too picky about, potential cosmetic issues over time.

Picked up some of these last year. Im waiting until spring until I plant in them but the terra Cotta is quite thick and heavy. I was very surprised.

I got a dozen of these over the summer; some had a "funny" tint out of the box but nothing too bothersome. They are sturdy but like any clay pot are fragile. No issues with them having them out in the MI summer; garaged them
Over the winter to avoid cracking…not sure if it have happened but was a precautionary move

HD's online in-store stock is a joke. It can be worthwhile to go look around yourself if not too inconvenient. I've done this a few times and found the item that they claimed was oos when they cancelled my in-store pickup order.

We got some from last summer, they're ugly and small outside unfortunately 😕
You are so very correct. Bought some today online and when i picked them up they are ugly and cheap looking. Made in Vietnam btw. They're not the reddish clay earthenware color you might be expecting - they're an ugly dismal brown. And a lot of the pots had the outer ugly color scraped and flaked off and the color just beneath it is white.

They come in two sizes, 9qt. & 14qt. Both are good size for outdoor container gardening, but I guess this depends on what you're planting. The ones I got look just like the HD product page online. Could the white color you're seeing be the styrofoam packing that sticks to the pots after unboxing? Some of mine came in boxes and some did not but they both had white styrofoam stuck on them here and there. Most of that came off after a few rains.

Bought about 7 last year. Its been about 6 months and didn't crack in winter / outdoors. They are easy to chip, so pick a spot accordingly. Beyond that, at this price point, I don't have anything to complain about. I
