Ed is right. Don't do it. I went into the store 2 different times, was lied to by each employee, and then got a very early call saying they canceled the order. best to delete this post to save people the hassle.
Placed an order this morning, and the store called and said they did not have the item and that I would need to go in person to get a refund (odd). I checked my order status online and it shows the order is processing but the last 4 of the credit card is not mine. I think the store employee is trying to purchase it.

Why the hell would they make you go in-store for a goddamn refund online?
They charge your credit/debit card, then product not available, order canceled, etc.
They you get to fight with your credit/debit card and Autozone to reverse the charges. Happened to me twice on the clearance gloves.

I don't get this… autozone is a known retailer why would they cancel but not refund your order? Why would you have to call your credit card for a chargeback

Their online and in-store systems don't always "talk" to each other well. Took me well over an hour in-store to get a refund on a power steering pump core purchased online. Eventually the guy had to give me cash because even though the system could find my order, it refused to finish the process.
Why the hell would they make you go in-store for a goddamn refund online?

I called the 1800 number and the customer service rep called the store while I was on hold. They came back and said the store will issue a refund. As soon as she said that, I refreshed my order history in autozone website, and it changed to "item returned in store" and then canceled. Employee at that store is trash.
