If I'm on the Amazon delivery trucks route it's because I paid money to be when I bought something from them. If I buy something delivered from AutoZone, I've already paid for the delivery service as part of my purchase. I'm for paying higher prices, within reason, if it directly translates to higher base pay for employees. I am 100% against subsidizing cheap ass employers who short-change their workers and decide it's the customers job to make up the difference. And if the customer doesn't then the problem is the customer. Yeah, that's B.S. no question.

Tipping "culture" here is insulting and ridiculous. I see tip jars/cups absolutely everywhere now, in many places they have no business being. Tips are supposed to be gratitude for providing service above and beyond. A person simply doing their job isn't justification. In the US you don't even need a job anymore. Just stand by the stop light and ask for free money. In fact, you don't even have to ask. Just hold a sign and stare at people stuck at the red light until they fork over their cash.

Btw, I find it interesting how quick people are to tip a person delivering something they've already paid for, or for pouring a cup of coffee, or making food you paid to be prepared for you... Yet teachers, who play a far more important role in society, make shit wages and I don't see anyone rushing to tip them. I can say the same for the healthcare workers in long-term care facilities too, taking care of our most senior members people can't be bothered with. But I'm supposed to feel bad for the guy delivering an AutoZone order? Bad news, I don't.

Tipping is always optional. Do you tip Amazon drivers when they deliver items you ordered? I don't see any difference between that and AutoZone delivery.

I think its worse when the credit card processors ask you to choose a tip at fast food restaurants. You feel if you decline they will give less attention to your food.

Just ordered 2 for store pickup. Wanted to add a few extra , but qty limit of 2. I guess I could make separate orders but not sure worth the trouble. 400 Kirkland brand are around $25 give or take so about $6.50 per hundred

They offered same day delivery but not sure what that is like, if you need to tip or anything
Where are you seeing $25? They are $38

5mil... I got some boxes of 6mil a while ago, and even those aren't difficult to rip while working on the car.

Just ordered a box of the 4mil G. Monkey ones(no stores had more than 1) we'll see if it cancels. Not thrilled for "Fits All" which means it could be baggy.

Who's to say the locals aren't cancelling b/c they could use them for $5, when they may have a "new" box for $35? Happened(s) all the time when ppl would call (facepalm) HomeDepot about X or Y deal b/c too lazy to drive to check

They are cheaper than instacart in warehouse. Instacart adds a surcharge

The price in the warehouse has been fluctuating between $24 & $27 last time I checked - not sure of actual price now

The Amazon truck is probably in your area every day anyway so i understand not tipping since you are "on the route" so to speak. In my area however AutoZone deliveries are handled by third party like door dash, so someone is leaving their house and using their car to bring you your stuff.

If it is like that, I will throw them a couple of bucks because their pay is really shitty without tips in most cases.

Is it the fault of the business and third party company using these people, trying to pay them peanuts for doing these deliveries and wearing out their vehicles? Absolutely, but I don't see anything changing ever- it's a model as old as pizza delivery, so I just try to help them a bit.
Yes, this was the point of my question. Walmart deliveries are by Doordash usually (not always) so you are supposed to tip them. I figured maybe Autozone was similar to Walmart.
