Maybe I'm a cynic on sound bars, but "True 11.1.4ch Sound" seems like a big gimmick; how decent are these compared to a discrete passive 5.1 setup?

My living room isnt laid out the best for 5.1 so we setup 3.1 and I am somewhat happy with it.
