The Diamond 12.3 are $1000/pair at multiple retailers. $699 for a single is not a good deal.
I bought 12.0, 12.2 and 12.c for my home theater. They were "ok" at best. I tried for a month on my Denon, they did not please me. My old KEF Q350s are significantly more dynamic and gave me better movie experience than the 12.2.

They are good for Music. Vocals are buttery but bit forward. Good bass. Not dynamic.
This is my issue with speakers and buying online. There's virtually no physical store besides BB magnolia to try out speakers - and I haven't seen the same speakers in BB when I've looked. Even then the speaker set might sound different in your listening area but at least you'd have an idea of the sound. If returns are free online then I have no issue but where would that be? Maybe buying 2 bookshelf's to start is an idea but I can't see not being able to try out a speaker set and throwing thousands away on someone else's impression. Is there a good return policy for any stores online or a physical store with reasonable prices?

These are very good prices. Wish it was earlier ended up buying Polk Reserve R100s.
Wharfdale Diamond 12.2 walnut/brown was my other competing choice.

I have the Diamond 12.2 and it sounds really nice.

I also have the Polk Reserve R200 and they are a bit more open sounding in the top end, but I think the Diamond 12.2 are easier to work with in terms of positioning (soft dome tweeter vs. ring radiator) and are more forgiving of poor recordings while also being fairly neutral.

Wharfdale budget speakers are Crap. These ve no bass.

Save your money and buy cheaper & better Sonys instead
I've had multiple Wharfedale Diamond series speakers and they blow the Sony Core series out of the water in my opinion.

I'm not saying the Sony Cores are terrible, but they have a really exaggerated treble spike for my taste.

Like to use in a studio or for producing music?

I would get a powered monitor speaker by Kali Audio at a similar price point:

These are designed for playing back music on a hi-fi system at home.

Here is best review of the Wharfedale Diamond 12.1 (5" driver) sale price $299:

https://youtu.be/YHD7h66SMPE

My take away from that review, these seem great, paired with sub (speakers with 100Hz crossover) and will be even better; but in my opinion price could be even better, like another $20-$50 off then I would say they would be a truly SLICK deal.

Yea, for producing music (as a bedroom guitarist). I have a scarlett 2i2 and been looking for a nice set of speakers/monitors that would playback my electric guitar without a lot of EQ modification.
