Have you found any lithium jump starter that still works after a year? Brand/model?

Almost any lithium jump starter should work after a year. One of the advantages of lithium-ion batteries is that they lose little charge in storage. My Stanley lithium jumped my 6 cylinder Ford without an issue 6 months after its last charge. That being said, I used to have a Century brand lead-acid jump starter like the one posted, and it only needed to be charged about every 6 months when not in use.

I've got a bunch of different brands that have lasted 2-4 years so far. I did have one, a Stanley, that only made it about a year though. My most recent one is a 1500amp Ampeak brand , whatever that is. I got it Dec 2021, so just more than a year, and it still works good.

Put a LiFePO in this when it dies. Then it will last 10 years.

I have a different brand that looks identical to this - I assume just a rebadged unit. As long as I charge it every few months, it's worked great over the past year, and I've found myself reaching for it more often than I'd care to admit. I make a habit of recharging it every two months. It's simple to do, and honestly seems like bare bones maintenance for the peace of mind it provides.

I had something similar, and it lasted a couple years. When it died I really wanted one with the tire pump, but couldn't find a quality device. I ended going with a separate lithium jump starter and tire pump. I'm really happy with them. The combo is actually more portable than the single unit, and the batter is much better.

I realize the price difference is pretty big between the posted item and these, but the point is that you would probably do well to shop around. Costco has similar items for $60 or so (for example https://www.costco.com/type-s-800...13421.html) on occasion. I think the quality difference is worth a premium.

Got a link on how to do that? I've thought about it for mine but wasn't sure the internal transformer would work without setting it on fire.

I don't have a link. But the LiFePO batterys are the same size as the Lead acid batteries. I am putting them in all my UPS's. They are the BEST! I put one in my tire inflator! Wow! Incredible.
LifePo's don't catch fire like Lithium Ions. They are safe
Can't wait until I can get some for my cars! 10 year life!

Is the charging circuit for the original lead acid 100% compatible with LiFePO or is that something that could burn down your house?
