True, it is not, but it is a MIPS certified helmet: in the Virginia Tech rating list, all 5 star helmets are MIPS, and only one out of the hundreds that are MIPS certified, has three stars, everything else with 4/5.

So a pretty safe assumption that a MIPS helmet will be at least 4/5, when tested.

Alas, the helmet size apparently only goes up to 60cm, which is much too tiny for my mega melon.

I think the Specialized align ll is cheaper and a better deal, it's also here in SD

It will run hotter having fewer/smaller openings and has no visor being "road bike" oriented, but it is an excellent helmet. Yet different.
