Keep in mind that the Rtings review is for a 65" with an ADS/IPS panel. This 85" has a VA panel, so overall it will perform better than the Rtings review suggests... especially for movies.

Excellent price.

Local dimming, bright picture, 4xHDMI 2.1, solar charging remote, solid build quality.

For just $400 more, this is a better deal than the lg86 and Sony85 deals posted recently.

Frontpage worth deal.

Employee email address sign up or AAA membership and access via AAA discount portal by searching Samsung, then shop now and validate identity for access to discounted Samsung. So far appears to be the same as EPP program pricing.

Guess I need to pull the Members Only jacket out of the closet if I ever want to qualify for one of these deals.

At least you can get something out of AAA. Don't count on them showing up to jump off or replace your battery.. ask me how I know it's a scam service..1.5 stars on trustpilot
My friend recently waited SIX HOURS for a tow truck with AAA! Two other companies stopped to see if he needed help and he waived the first one off and took the second. 2 hours after he got home AAA called and asked if he still need a tow! How's that for service? I'd burn my money before giving them a dollar.

Thank you for this! I was unaware that AAA members are included.

I couldn't get the 85" model in OP due to space restrictions where I wish to mount it, but needing a larger/better/more modern TV for the wifey I (*think* I) got a fairly decent deal on the 65" for ~ $1k. Not nearly as good as the 85" deal, but good enough Cool

The fact this hasn't sold out makes me think it will still go lower.

Unfortunately, Dolby Vision is not available on Samsung TVs. They have their own HDR format to compete with DV, which is HDR1000.

I know hence the question. How does the video look like if you are streaming disney plus especially compared with TV supporting dolby vision?

Better quality but less size, some people just prefer the big TV.

I have AAA for 7 years now. Everytime I needed they arrive and dealt with the problem. Never had any problem whatsoever with them. I change states a lot in the last decade, so I used them in many parts of the country.
