Keep in mind that the Rtings review is for a 65" with an ADS/IPS panel. This 85" has a VA panel, so overall it will perform better than the Rtings review suggests... especially for movies.

That's why I got the 85" just now to replace an old Vizio VA TV at my dad's. Was hoping to hold out for a price mistake oled but it's taking too long. Plus my dad is not that picky and figured the extra 20" screen would be a decent trade off, especially if you never got used to an oled.

Hi. How does the samsung 85" 80B compare in picture quality to the Vizio P Series P75Q9-J01
P-Series Q9 75".
They are relatively similar in price now and clearly I understand the size difference 75 vs 85. But will by chance the Vizio picture be better as quality goes?

Just wanting to hear some real comments vs biased ratings online.

Thanks OP and those that pointed to AAA I never knew AAA had discounts! I was hoping to see this drop to 1599.... but 1399 PLUS 2 yrs extended warranty for free and Free shipping... I bought 2!

Received email free Samsung care+ warranty coverage docs, only covers additional year after manufactures warranty for a total of 2 years. Samsung care+ 2 years plan. Very misleading.... I got extra coverage with my visa so I will get 3 years coverage....

Can you stack epp discount and aaa discount on top of each other ? I signed up for aaa and went to discounts.aaa.com and clicked Samsung link. It shows welcome to aaa store on Samsung.com site and when I login with corp account I see the 1399$ price but don't see the additional 30% discount some folks on this thread are saying they got. Am I missing something? Where and when will the 30% aaa discount gets applied ?
