For iPhone you can if you never use it. Although the last time I tried there was some major fark up and took a month to resolve.

Once I add it to cart and try to check out, Keeps saying It's not available due to geographical restrictions ..? I am in California though :/

prorated. You "used" coverage for the previous months, that's never refundable.

interesting observation. i probably agree with this although this is my first apple watch. plus, you can buy cases for them to help protect that. me, i bang my arm into any fixed object within 10 feet... the apple care seems reasonable.

are you using a vpn maybe or something like tor that makes you look like you are not from Cali?
Also, maybe there is some restriction for california like it causes cancer or does not fight social justice enough or it is considering false or misleading

No. Not on a VPN. I tried a Midwest address and also other color bands and different price. Shows me same error

i suggest you try it on apple store before buying, it is very bulky and only designed for pro use, definitely not for every day wearing.

It is surprisingly good, it is bulky but don't seem bulky. I am sold but would like to wait for sale to save a little.

ordered on from Hodinkee when they had their sale but they cancelled mine so picked this up with some gift cards I received from xmas. I probably wouldn't have bought apple care without this but now thinking about it, im going to be using it for recreational diving so probably better to have than not.
