Thermoworks is a trusted brand. Everything you posted looks to confuse buyers thinking they get a Thermoworks device only to find they get ThermoPro.

If you want a good cheap thermometer this is the one to get. Thermoworks makes great and accurate products. Sorry but those $9 ThermpPro ones on Amazon are junk.

That's OPs words. Reality is it's 3-4 seconds read time. This is a great, reliable thermometer. I've had mine for 5 years and bought many for gifts. At this price, it's a no brainer.

Just got one of these a few weeks ago. Can't attest first hand to durability since it's so new, but it works great. Super fine point on the probe makes it really easy to get into whatever we're cooking and the readings are fast.

I got one from the previous deal in November. Mine's not accurate. Two dial thermometers tell one temp, while the Thermopop will be within 7-12 degrees below, and a couple occasions above, what the others tell me. So if you can, check to make sure yours is accurate.

Also Thermopop wouldnt take it back since it was used. Yes folks, the only way to get a return is if it's unused.

https://www.thermoworks.com/how-t...turnPolicy

"We do not have a "buy-and-try" allowance policy. It is the responsibility of the customer to determine suitability of a product prior to placing the unit in service."

"Used or damaged equipment may not be returned for a refund."

You can test it with warm/hot water. I took some pics for the customer service people with two other thermometers, but like I said, it was a waste of time.

I do recomment ThermoPro. I've had this one since 2018 and it's been a rock star the whole time. Never more than 2 degrees off from my other thermometers. It has went through rain and snow and still keeps going. And you know Amazon will take returns, unlike these Thermoworks bozos.

Thank you, worked! And shipping is back down to $5, placed order. Let's see what's all this hype about 😁

Agree, I have a few cheap ones including a ThermoPro, Weber, and two others I can't remember. They are terrible compared to the Thermoworks. These are the real deal. The others just ramp up very slowly and take significantly longer to get to the actual temp. These guys give you a close enough read in about 3-5 seconds.

I have a thermapen and the only complaint is that the older design around battery replacement was not ideal, was easy to "strip" the screw to replace the battery and my pen currently does not consistently turn on when opening. This is a different model of course and while not instant read, should work for most people and many food cooking use cases.

Grabbed one of these on the last sale. Very easy to use. They give you a small table with recommended cooking temps too.

EDIT: I had thought it was the same brand. Turns out it's not.
Don't do it, man. I have Thermoworks products but cheaped out and went ThermoPro as a gift for my Mom. When I visited her and used it...? Junk! So regretful. In fact, I'm buying this very ThermoPop just for her! Should have done that in the 1st place, I basically wasted money.

Guys, consider this one:

INKBIRD Hybrid Thermometer Between a Remote Bluetooth BBQ Meat Thermometer with 2 Probes and an Instant-Read Thermometer,Rechargeable Grill Thermometer with Temperature Alarms and Graph, Calibration https://a.co/d/cxKjQ4x

It has a faster reading (2s vs 3-4s), it's rechargeable, it can connect to an app, it has 2 additional long oven probes, it's more accurate, and you can easily return it at Amazon. For about $3.80 more.

As a chef I try to mostly buy Thermoworks. I use a variety of their products in my restaurants and they only fail when I accidentally melt them near a stove. Otherwise very accurate products and great customer service when my Thermapen needed fixing.

Dead. Price now up to $15.99. I always seem to miss these sales somehow.

Try again. Shows 15.99 initially but after adding the product to the cart and then viewing it, it goes down to 11.99. However, shipping kills the deal for me.

I ended up buying a Dot instead with the 25% off. Shipping was $5.
the Dot was going to end up more useful anyway because I smoke stuff occasionally.
