@EliteZags It's 6 hrs flight for us in West coast.
@eshank Which Caribbean can you fly to in around 6hrs that's prettier than Hawaii with similar cost? Serious question.

Not really. Probably East Coasters who want to see it. Maui and Kauai are worth it each a few times. Lived in CA all my life and will never bother with the bigger islands with the quality of Southern CA beaches...there is no comparison to the instant relaxation of HI, however. Don't know what it is...

Too bad once you're there, hotels and accommodations let alone rental cars are insanely expensive now. Oh well.

Caribbean water is MUCH warmer, bluer than Hawaii (I visit Big Island, Kauai, Maui and Oahu at least 2x each per year on business / leisure from San Diego).
