reviews are few and not that favorable.
There are bunch of burr coffee grinders on amazon under $40, surprisingly.
https://www.amazon.com/s?k=Burr+C...h-price=40

I am actually looking for one.

Amazon reviews aren't very good. All the same problems I have with my current crappy electric grinder. Inconsistent grind, static buildup makes emptying grounds impossible, collection cup doesn't seat well causing dust to fly out around the grinder, pia cleanup, etc.

I won't make the same mistake buying a crappy grinder.

yes, these seem to be prevalent issues of the grinders of this design.
I am trying to find something that does not have these issues as well.
One solution is to have an integrated grinder in a coffeemaker, and drip coffee is fine by me.

I would appreciate a pointer if you find something worth attention, in PM.

I have this. You can eliminate the static issue by adding a drop of water or two on the beans before grinding. However, it is LOUD!

I have different brand grinder but has static issue too. I found that if I wait few minutes before emptying the grounds, then that static has dissipated from the grounds. Works every time if you can spare a few minutes.

Have it, got annoyed over time with the poor grind consistency, very susceptible to popcorning and large chonks even on finer settings. Got the Baratza Encore and a lot happier with the consistency.

I have this grinder and don't use it anymore for the exact issues listed above (messy). Mine also got bogged down really easily. I don't like it at all

I have purchased the Secura as an open item and it works like a champ.

I have/had one of these. I just barely crossed over the two year mark. For the price it is marginal or fine. Switch went bad and I had to hardwire it. Motor really boggs down anymore.

I will not be buying another one and that wasn't a hard decision. I'm just going to pony up the money for a Baratza. I'd appreciate their willingness to repair and I'm tired of throwing these cheapo grinders away every two years

Got the oxo burr grinder last year. It was I think $70 but am happy with the results.

I also own this grinder. It's not bad, but it's not good. It tended to get chaff everywhere, I only had it bog down when I tried to do espresso or used crappy/oily beans. Overall, it's not a bad budget option. I would recommend going a step higher and never having to replace that one.

I started to use my Niche Zero for everything and retired this grinder.

While the reviews might be meh, I've had this grinder for almost 10 years now. It gets regular use and I think I paid $79 at that point. I always think about upgrading but then ask myself why. For $40 it's a no brainer.

This grinder is absolute junk and Bodum's customer service is the worst.
After 2 uses, adjustments in coarseness became impossible and it would get clogged every time. There's a CS number to call via Amazon, but they blame Covid for not answering the phone so they give you an email address.

They took 2 months to reply and didn't even bother to read the email because their response didn't correspond. When I wrote back, then they told me to take video of the malfunction unit and send it to them.

After all that time, it wasn't worth it for me any more, but I vowed I was done with Bodum. Great designed garbage.
