If you care about the discrepancy, in the description: "The blade of the folder is made of 440A steel"

So possibly not 440C.

I have confirmed with their direct site and a few knife dealers, It looks like only the Amazon page has 440A description.

It looks like they have 'cheapened' the original version of this design [blogspot.com]. I have the original and it is AWESOME. I wouldn't buy this cheap looking thing though.

I bought the spider version for 12.49 as a cheap filler item back in November. It is plenty sharp, and plenty heavy. Kind of fun to toy around with but not in my EDC rotation so stays in a storage case most of the time. Probably good as an inexpensive youth knife.

I own their FH12SS knife and it's an extreme bargain. It has D2 steel. It's extremely durable and it even has bearings for almost no friction when opening. Build quality is great with zero play between parts. I'd buy Ganzo again in a heartbeat.
