Had really bad experiences with my z wave plus ge/jasco light switches. Bought a bunch from Lowes when they went on sale and slowly they've all started to die.

If you want a good switch for 2 years, go with these. You'll be replacing them in 24 months because they die due to inferior internal components. Well documented. Buyer beware.

wouldn't touch anything made by Jasco ever again... absolute 100% garbage.
just get Zooz, fully featured hardware and their hardware in the last many years has been pretty fantastic.

GE zwave switches suck! I spent hundreds of dollars on them, only one stayed alive. For the past years, every a few months, I needed to replace a dead one with the other brand, like ZooZ

These look indistinguishable from the Zooz switches except that they're more expensive and will die sooner. I have ~25 Zooz switches in my home and have never had a problem. Why anyone bothers with GE for ZWave is beyond me.

Same experience as the others, they all seem to go right after the warranty expires. I wouldn't bother with these

I have been running a bunch of GE / Jasco in my house for just under 5 yrs. I have not yet updated the FW, but the switches have been pretty stable. One did fall off my network - still works as a light switch - but it is located in spot where I dont NEED the smart functionality so I havent bothered fiddling with it. All that said, not sure price is great.

Jasco had issues with switches manufactured in 2017.There was a capacitor that was prone to failure. Fortunately, they did the right thing and extended the warranty to five years and replaced with no hassle.

I've had close to 50 Jasco dimmers/switches and have had 3 that failed. All 3 cheerfully replaced.

I have the same experience, mix of GE/Honeywell/Jasco/Ultrapro - all JASCO based ultimately with rebranding. I haven't had any issues other than getting some repaired after upgrading my home assistant z-wave plugin. It's been over 2 years at this point so.. I am crossing my fingers I got lucky like you or my old house/electrical doesn't stress out the components enough.

From my own experience - over the past 5 years I've had no issues with GE Z-Wave/Z-Wave Plus light dimmers that I bought from Lowes (have about 30 of them through the house), but had to replace 3 or 4 on/off switches (that control non-dimmable tube lights) - those are certainly garbage. I guess, YMMV.

Besides, I have few Zooz dimmers, but don't really like them (they feel cheap, no solid "click"), so personally prefer Jasco. Also have a couple of iNovelli dimmers - they are top quality and have controll
