If you aren't aware, Paramount+ has free 1 month codes 1-3 times a month. You can do multiple free month promos as well. If your account is active the codes do not work. But if you cancel your account then let it expire, you can use another new code to get another free month. So you can keep getting 1 month free then cancel, expire and rinse/repeat.

Paramount+ is free with Walmart+, which is also free with AMEX Platinum, which is also free for any active duty military.

Amazing they still have this. I been getting Paramount+ free for a while now. Each month use a virtual cc and new email to sign up and cancel right aways. Repeat in a month. lol?

Personally I like using these codes despite having Walmart+ as the P+ that's free with W+ has ads and these codes seem to be never ending (and work with the ad free version)

Yep, I got charged also. Called and didn't get my 9.99 back. Was told that the second free month went into month three. Didn't want to argue so I'll cancel again and use up the remaining time...

Yea happened to me as well. I filed a dispute with Chase and got a refund temporarily while they resolve it.
Paramount immediately cancelled my sub after I opened the dispute.

That's a $700 credit card! Way to go Amex!
Wish veterans could get in on it, but either way, that's an amazing offer.

Why haven't I seen this posted more on this "member-centered, member-driven collaboration website aimed at helping make the best purchase through information sharing"
Oh….probably no kickback from Amex
True affiliate marketing can impact sites like slickdeals, dansdeals, etc. but it's been talked about pretty in-depth on a lot of credit card and travel blogs. Of course, many of those also get affiliate money. The Amex Platinum has a lot of good benefits but if you have to pay for that card it's a coupon book approach that seems like a lot of work. I have Walmart+ and of course Paramount+ with that through the Amex Platinum but I would never pay for Walmart+ if the card didn't credit the fee back to me. It just isn't that valuable to me much like the uber credits and such since I live in a rural area.

Proposed approach:

Pay with a Capital One virtual credit card (you can create a CC number via their Chrome plugin). Then set the virtual card to lock down a day after Paramount+ test your CC for $1. Next month payment will fail (they will try every week), but Paramount won't cancel for about another 4 weeks. Then hop onto another code using the same virtual card (re-activated for 1 day). The best part - no need to contact anybody to cancel the trial.

If you have an existing sub, free or otherwise, just go to the account page and click on "cancel account" and they will offer you another month for free.

EDIT: And to eliminate the chance they try to charge you anyway, or just in case you forget to cancel, use Paypal as your payment method and then just cancel the automatic charge in your Paypal settings.

Thanks for the heads-up. Their system does seem weird. I signed up for the free month in December and tried to cancel it in mid-January. It offered to extend a month so I accepted. Now that I check my account, it says my next billing date is Mar 24, 2023 instead of expected February?! Good thing I used Citi's virtual CC# which was set to expire Dec 2022.

Beware: This is a scam company.

I signed up for their one month free trial. I couldn't get the app to download on a Fire TV so I tried to cancel. When I tried the web page said they don't like when people cancel so were offering to extend my trial an additional month for a total of 2 months. I accepted the offer and my next billing date was two months away on Feb 28.

Three week later I get an email saying my trial is about to end and I will be billed. I check my account and it is still showing Feb. 28 as my next billing date so I figured the email was just auto generated for new trial accounts. Then on January 28 I was billed $10.

So I go on their website to contact them. Their chat function didn't work and you couldn't send them an email. You had to contact them through Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram or by phone (where I assume they keep you on hold until you hang up.

Who doesn't allow you to contact customer service via email? Why should I have to join social media platforms to contact this company about ripping me off?
