I bought one of these last time it was posted for the same price and it is an excellent strap! The cloth is nice quality, feels strong yet thin enough to still be pliable and comfortable, and the leather ends are nice and thick... I have no concerns with this thing breaking or popping of of strap buttons, and it also looks nice. Note that while it says red/black, I received the Tweed that is pictured.

The last strap I picked up was for the MIM Acoustasonic SD I picked up last year, picking up another as I don't know of a better deal for a nice strap until going to the 30-40 range for leather. If you are looking for leather, I have tried a few, but imho this combo of price and quality is hard to beat, $30 for a nice Levy full leather strap: https://www.sweetwater.com/store/...trap-brown

You should skip this, and just get a DiMarzio ClipLock strap. Much better than buying this and having your guitar fall off while on stage, then duct taping your strap, then buying strap locks, and finally the ClipLock strap.

If you aren't playing live then this is a fine option, but guitars are still prone to falling off.
I don't relish the idea of replacing all of my strap buttons. You have to with those, right?

Got this strap from the last deal, the button opening on the leather end is actually small and tight. It actually took some brute force to get it on. I have older all leather straps with the opening gap widened quite a bit after the years but for this strap it's pretty secure right now and I have no concerns of it falling off for my home use.
My only negative is the tweed color doesn't quite match my Lake Placid Blue Fender Player Strat. Other than that it's perfectly functional and solid value for the price.

I don't need any straps right now but if I did i would jump on this. These are so much more useful than the two-parts straps that weave together, in my opinion. If you like to play jazz or just keep your guitar higher and closer to the chest you need a strap like this.
I'm very tall and like my guitar down below my hip because my arms are so long. I'm stuck with two piece straps so I cand swap out the short end with an extension Frown

That's common on straps with leather ends. They stretch and wear over time. Just need to break it in.

Yeah I meant it as a good thing, as a response to another person discouraging this strap because it may fall off. Could always get strap locks if someone is concerned about it.

unfortunately, when playing live, am part of a black metal band, so am only allowed to use intestines for straps with sinew/tendon tie down locks... ah well.

I'm getting tired of amazon claiming things are in stock then saying 'usually ships within 1-2 months'.
That is NOT in stock.

Always use strap locks. Unless you don't care that your guitar will break I guess.

Yeah, the Dunlop StrapLoks require changing the strap buttons on the guitar. And the screw thread is larger than the typical screw thread. That means drilling the hole in the guitar a bit bigger, and then you can't go back to the original buttons later without filling the hole back in.

(Perhaps the first recommender was referring to Dunlop LokStraps, which are plastic snap-on discs that don't require modding the guitar.)

It amazes me that through almost a century of the electric guitar, electric guitars of all makes almost always ship with tiny strap buttons that are prone to dropping the instrument.

Lucky you. Our death metal band requires straps made of human skin.
That stuff is really thin and gets brittle over time, and it tends to tear at the worst possible times, like right in the middle of a solo.

Yes and they still can fail.

I poke a couple extra holes in the strap and use a tiny nylon wire tie to make the opening tiny. This is free and the connection becomes non separatable.

Easy enough to undo, but I never see the need to.

That's actually the thickness. It's almost like wrangling a python.
Dang, I was hoping it would go over as a good joke.
