    Personally I don't think so. It's not a game that just wasn't finished or polished like Cyberpunk, or a great story that's just too weird like Death Stranding. There isn't one thing that if you "fix," it's suddenly got a target audience, it's gameplay, story, and graphics are all solidly OK.

    Game isn't worth 60 but the hate boner the internet has for this game is suspicious. Other bad games don't get this much attention..........

    It's sad this game is not getting good review.
    Some recent SquareEnix games didn't do well because not getting enough marketing. But SE definitely put a lot of marketing behind this one.

    I think the internet collective had too high of an expectation just because it was an exclusive PS5 generation game with no PS4 version. Regardless, you're right; games like this don't usually get this much attention.

    This was a showcase SE tried to promote in Tokyo Game Show and another event I forgot which one. SE had released mediocre to bad games one after another in recent years. Based on reception they only got FF 14 and FF VIi remakes to save them. I have not even counted the countless failed mobile games they have shut down...and Eidos, Crystal Dynamics and SE Montreal which they screwed up and just sold recently...

    Its no longer a trusted brand IMO and I would be very cautious to preorder anything from SE..

    Forgot to mention that I heard if you put this in Japanese with English subtitles the game gets less cringy

    I haven't been wowed by Square Enix in a long time, so I'm glad people aren't putting up with this game. Their mobile games have been either bottom of the barrel 3d exploration games, or bad ports of their best IP. Their best on console and pc have been countless IP rehashes and overpriced rereleases where they push out poo and hope we buy it because we loved the originals. It's bad, and they deserve the criticism. Hopefully it's a wake up call and they go back to releasing polished games with heart.
