I purchased mine back in Sept 2013 for $799, same exact size and it looks exactly like this one. The LED light in the freezer did go out after 8 years and I have not attempted to replace (saw it for $35 when it went out). Fridge light still works fine right now. I specifically was looking for matching stainless steel appliance with no ice maker. I like to make my own clear ice with bottled drinking water. It still works (knock on wood), shelves look great no signs of cracking, and looks like it is fairly new, so it has been a good buy for me.

The only thing I hate is cleaning the bottom coils, way to hard to clean with a coil brush. I figured out the easiest way is to back it up to the kitchen sliding window, isolate the entire back with old sheets and use my 120 mile leaf blower to blow that dust out. Takes 1 min to blow out and about 15 min to move and prep. Smilie

Cool method; I almost wish there were a sliding door/window in my kitchen now! Yeah those bottom coils are a bitch to either vacuum, brush, or blow off clean. Fridge makers could easily redesign better access for cleaning. However, they've got us conditioned to just buy new expensive appliances every few years. Just imagine how it goes for lots of owners that don't even know about condenser coils.

I have the Amana branded version from the same era. I replaced the conventional screw bulbs with 99 cent led ones. The only electronic component is the adaptive defrost circuit board under the brow which I replaced for %30 after a power surge. If they still offer manual bulb thermostat then I would get that if my local vendor of used appliances did not have a clean fridge made before 2001 in stock.

I used compressed air from my air compressor and a vacuum running at the same time. You can get a pancake compressor on SD for around $50. Either way, you will get dust flying around. I do this once a year (Jan 1st)

Quote from Quasimotorias :
Most of the LED lights in my LG fridge have lasted 11 years now. The shelves on the other hand are totally destroyed. It's as if they weren't meant to survive a year. My fridge looks like it's been though a war....milk crates, grill grates and masking taped shelves.
LED lights in my whirlpool (along with the ice maker) went after 10 years. $45 on Amazon for the 3 light circuit boards and took about 15 minutes to swap - thank you YouTube. Initially just swapped 1 board but needed the 3-pack.

Will Costco price match- adjust a product when the reduced price doesn't show up until checkout/ cart? I just purchased this a week ago for higher price.

Yes, give them a call. They won't do it automatically, they have to "elevated to higher up" but I was able to get my adjusted for this same fridge.

What is with all these fridges and no water and ice spigots though?

You can check to see if there's an add on for an ice maker internally.

Built in ice makers start out as liquid plastic dispensers and end up being mold and toxic crud dispensers. Make ice the old fashion way with better water...
