Not sure if this is true. But have heard production of Series 7 was stopped an year ago and every store is liquidating the stock because of older batteries or decreased battery life which is a mess to replace.
Just got the 7 $279 from Walmart and battery is dead and doesn't want to charge.

sometimes, when the battery is COMPLETELY dead, it takes a few minutes for the charging to start. Just keep it on the charger and it will charge, don't worry..

For women, there are great features for cycle tracking on the series 8 so potentially yes.

Other than that, the 8 added crash detection, which may be moot if you have the latest iPhones (they also have this feature).

That's effectively it. Same battery, same display, etc. For $100 less, you can get an LTE 45mm Series 7 from Walmart.com right now. It comes with the green band, but if you have a band already then it likely fits. A new one from Amazon is $10.
Also the 8 added the temperature sensor. Still think the cellular 7 deal is a better value.

Is the 8 worth $100 more compared to the $279 Walmart 7 deal?
Walmat automatically cancelled my order stating there is no stock. So this is the best deal now Smilie

Waiting for an Ultra deal … 🤫
I should have got the 8. I moved from Garmin Fenix to the ultra and it's meh. I mean, it's cool and all, but there's not a killer feature on it that I love. And it it's so stupid that you need to use the touch screen to stop a workout. It's infuriating because my hands are either covered with sweat or covered with gloves.

It was same for a refurb from apple directly that i ogt earlier. Leave it to charge for sometime using the usb c puck.

Once setup check the battery health under the device settings. If it doesnt seem to be at 100% you can look into options. But if its 100% you are good.

Many reviews also talks about this issue, which is why I didn't pull the trigger on the 7. The 8 battery time is superior to the 7 by all accounts.
Is the battery superiority documented? If that's the case then I can pivot from 7 to 8 as well

So did I. It took two hours before it finally charged enough to begin setup.

It makes sense. It's been sitting "on the shelf" for a year and a half.

I think they mean 7. I don't think the 6 has some health features like OSAT which is a great feature for me
Could be wrong but think the 6 and 7 have the same health features. 7 gets you a bigger display and other design updates and faster chip and charging. Good luck find a 6 however

Dang, I had been waiting for a deal after Black Friday, but never saw any. Decided to pull the trigger and got one on 1/14.

I didn't realize that BB has such a trash return policy, I wasn't eligibile for price match adjustment because my return expired on 1/29

EDIT: CS rep was able to make a one time exception since my window had just closed.

Mine was dead as well, left it on charger and it was full within 2-3hrs.

Depends on cellular plan, but my Verizon Wireless plan includes as a benefit 50% off Watch/tablet data plans, which after discount is $5/mo for unlimited 5G/4G data (data speed slows to 600kbps after 15GB/mo). There's a $35 one time activation fee but I got customer service to refund that as well.

Thanks for the Walmart charging info, my GPS/Cellular arrives tomorrow.

I was going to forego activating (got cellular in case I change my mind and to make emergency calls in the meanwhile), but am on Verizon and this might make sense.

If I don't add cellular, does the watch just piggyback off my iPhone cellular/data and have all functionality all the time? I always have my phone with me anyway, though in the future might be nice to go out for a run without the phone.

$349.99 when you switch to a small band. Only tried the black but I'm assuming it would be the same despite the color.

Just got my 7 red from
Walmart. Battery health is 91%. Paid $264 for a renewed one. A couple of small scratches on the screen. Generic box.
