Because you want a car that's not falling apart and gives you better value for money?

And when will that be happening?

If you think Tesla is great at keeping timelines I got a great beachfront property in Kansas to tell you aobut.
As soon as that infrastructure stimmy kicks in.

No mark up at nearby dealer near me. They can't move this at this price. I suspect more discount in the coming month
Slimy dealership ruins the whole experience. Sounds yours is the exception because mine has stupid fees and such hidden in the OTD price

Gotta love the dealers here at north Jersey. They are still living in 2021-2022 demanding for market adjustments lol. I don't want to support Tesla, but at this rate I might just do it simply because of stealerships. After federal tax credit and state rebate, cheapest model 3 is around 34-35k. Still pricey, but god, the stealerships are annoying.

The average American drives 35/mi day. I see a lot of Gen X driving EVs.
Maybe if you're unemployed, LOL.

Maybe if one can afford to live closer to work or WFH or doesn't drive for a living, maybe...

These cars should be furnished with bookshelves so you can read a few hours while charging up
Or you should read a few books about evs before commenting again.

Not sure if this has been mentioned already. In August of 2022, Ford raised the price of the Mach-E by $3000 to $8300, based on the trim level.

Why would you get one of these instead of a tesla?
The build quality of Tesla's is pretty trash. You're buying one for the charging network at this point, nothing else.

Quote from Dr. J :
At this point it's about breakeven between a Model 3 LR and any regular ICE that can get 30-32 MPG, from a per-mile cost POV. That puts the payback for an EV at infinity miles, or rather MUCH longer than 99% of people would drive the vehicle, and that's assuming the EV doesn't have any catastrophic problems.
Looking at things in isolation is a great way to miss the truth. It's called cherrypicking facts.
