I hate to say it but I am sick of Auto dealers.
Never in my life, I have had a good experience with dealers.
For Tesla, I am good so far because I didn't have to go there again since I picked it up.
I am not a fan boy but auto dealerships will have a VERY hard time selling cars once the EV chicken game accelerates.

Unless it's $5000 less than the Model Y DM, there's no way me haggling in the dealership.
Ford should really consider making a separate brand for their EVs with direct sales.

It ain't matter if the frontpage deal is $10 for the mach e. We all know the dealers ain't gonna let it happen. If we can't replicate this, why is it even on here??

Ford is 5-7 years behind on battery tech alone. Given I'm rolling up 2 years on their waiting list for a Ford Lightning (in supposedly their highest selling mkt), I wouldn't worry about them catching up anytime soon. I mean they're bragging about selling more BEV trucks for a single month last year Vs Rivian for feck's sake. Earnings call tomorrow iirc.

I think it'll be worse than that. Government is subsidize the shit out of EV to destroy ICE, also banning ICE. Once ICE is destroy the subsidies will go away and EV will crash and the one holding all the shit is the people. I think that is the main goal.

Law of supply and demand only apply when there is supply and demand. When government completely destroy the supply, the demand will be shot too. So the main question is can government actually destroy the supply of ICE. Likely the people will wake up real quick when the supply of ICE close to it's end. Like when someone cut off your oxygen supply (aka suffocate you), you will wake up real quick and fight for your life (aka crazy amount of demand). If they succeed you will die (law of supply and demand is over, you are dead).

even if a dealer would sell it for you at thiese prices, none of the awd extended range models would qualify for the $7500 rebate because they're still too expensive.

Although I ended up buying a Bolt EUV last year as my first EV, I think I'm going with a company that doesn't use dealers, like Tesla next time. Although the car didn't have a markup, they added LoJack and window etching for an extra $1000 which I couldn't get removed, and didn't want to wait for another car. I had an agreed upon price before hand, had a cashiers check ready to go, and it still took me hours to sign the paperwork and drive off. They also did a hard credit check even though I was paying cash, which was dumb. Most people are not going to want things like an extended warranty or gap insurance from a dealership for an inflated price. If you want that stuff you can get it afterwards. I'm probably sounding like a broken record but what's the point of dealerships beyond being a pointless middleman. This is even more true with EV's that need less maintenance.

Good luck finding one at this price or under. All dealerships have learned to just tack on whatever amount they believe people will pay. Real estate agents and car salesman need to go.
