No joke, the best braid I have ever used is this cheap Chinese stuff. It's super slick, almost shiny, and doesn't lose it's color at all. I don't know how they do it because color retention is supposed to be very difficult for braid material. The breaking strength is often higher than stated, according to reviews, but it's very very thin. I have all colors and all strengths under 30 lbs. Zero issues so far. Just wish they had longer spools.

I was not a big fan of the Kastking Superpower 15 and 20 pound braids for light tackle surf fishing. They bleed color everywhere and I have never gotten as many wind knots as I have with Kastking braid.
But thumbs up for a fishing "deal."

If you only have 1 or two setups, than 150 yard spools I guess make sense, but best thing to do is buy 1000yard spools of braid.
This kastking stuff is a lot thicker for its pound than competitors. I have it on some of my reels, but there is a difference in braid.
Suffix 832 and power pro are my go to's.

It is pretty much all I use for everything (freshwater spinning and baitcasters, and for all my saltwater stuff).
I tie on mono or flouro leaders as needed, depending on fishing technique.
