This is the old 1319 (had some minor bugs, and is discontinued).

The 1332 is the new version, and is $9.65

Yeah, you're good. You bought the newer version, via a kit.

The older version had issues with the fence, the plastic it was made from, and the bushings were brutal on the bits.

In the end, it's an inexpensive dowel jig, so I'd say not to worry either way. It'll do the job you need it to.

Just keep it simple, and it'll do it better than some $1,000-$2,000 Domino mortiser that many people have bought lol.) And with all the dowel jigs on the market, this still does well enough for a DIY'er. (I use dowels for a lot of non-M&T joints. I made my own dowel jig like this from wood, aluminum angle, and brass bushings. I don't use it a lot due to the fact that I built a pantorouter, and I use pocket hole jigs to use 3/8" mitered through-dowel joints... they're stronger than 0kcket hole screws, snd they look great on finished product.

I buy a lot of Milescraft (and Wolfcraft) items. They're fun. And in a lot of instances, they're pretty well built (especially the Wolfcraft version). And if anything they're easy to use, and fun! They also spark the creative side of my jig making! But know that there's Nanyang Milescraft items that are garbage... but they're actually working on redesigning them. And if they do improve an item , reach out to them, and they'll send you the newer, better item, for free!!!

Thanks for the detailed and informative response!

I'm still very new to dowels, but they seem interesting and I want to learn more. This device seems something fun to play around with.

Your jig seems cool. I made one for my router. Simple and basic but it's mine and was really fun to do. Working on one for my table saw

Thanks again for your response. Definitely keeping the warranty in mind

I've used this and like it pretty well. No complaints I can remember as long as you're not expecting something super fancy. I built this cabinet with it 10 years ago and it holds up. I guess I was using the old version. https://photos.app.urlhasbeenbloc...SEfP98CQ88
