Both are a good deal. I got both and I like them.

Wireless a a better deal- a little bigger, but like the idea it can still work wired and wireless.

I use the wireless with my house chime,l and I don't have to worry about charging it

Beware - while this product isn't on their current end-of-life list, Arlo had no problem telling a huge population of their users that their devices (including the audio-only version of the doorbell) were going end-of-life. https://kb.arlo.com/000063018/Arl...nd-of-Life

Had the wired version, became nearly useless once the subscription trial ran out, no advanced detection or detection zones. What that means is you'll get 100 notifications a day for people walking by on the street or a car driving by. You also can't store any history without the paid service unless you do local storage, which is limited to certain devices and certain base units.

All that to say, if you're comfortable paying $100 a year every year on top of the purchase price, the tech itself is pretty good, but not worth the long term IMO.

I have the wired doorbell I bought in 2020. The plastic is cracking and has done really poorly in the sun. The front fascia is also curled and peeling to expose some of the circuit board underneath. After I emailed they said sorry here's a 10% coupon. Also after the smart trial ended the doorbell was kind of useless so I've been paying $3 a month. It's going up to $5 a month in February and I'll just cancel my subscription and get a nest doorbell next. Also I'm a bit pissed my Arlo Pro cameras are getting EOL'd next year. I'll lose out on 7 day free cloud storage. They said you can pay for 30 day history still tho

While I get it... My Arlo q has been strong since early 2017, years and has 2 years until EOL. I already got 5 years from it... I'm pretty happy. I'd been wanting to replace it, but now I'll wait until EOL.

I guess I'd be upset if I just bought it before EOL announcement.
