The total output is 65W between all ports. Some laptops will not charge below 65W thus you won't be able to utilize the other ports while charging a laptop like that. Also, doesn't support 220V thus not suitable for travel.

i have same brand different usb c + usb a multi output charger. it is the worst charger. it heats a lot. when you plug in a device existing one stops charging. i wouldn't recommend this brand.

Is it me or there seems to be a high uptick in this brand's posting? Paid shills or this company decent?

I got the 65W dual usb C/dual USB A from them for $40 in August of 2022 to use as a travel charger. It feels like this thing charges really slow when using the USB A ports for charging my phone and Apple Watch. Feels much slower than the 5 x USB A port 40W charger I have from Anker.
Did you charge from the higher-power USB-A port or the regular one? It makes a difference. And why not charge from the USB-C ports, which are both higher-powered? I view these chargers as primarily high-power USB-C chargers with an additional USB-A port or two thrown in for legacy devices, but not their primary purpose, kind of like a power strip with a few USB ports thrown in for good measure. You don't buy those for the USB ports but they're nice to have.

I have noticed this as well....Also the prices for this company posted on here are not that slick.

This one for example.....only 65W but still $40 for a Chinese brand? No way dude. (it's only $10 off, the "List price" is always a lie)

FYI: The rated voltage is 125V. does not support a 220V power source. it's not suitable for international travel

Haven't never heard of the name brand before, I'll just store this to the back of my mind and buy from Anker until I see the brand is still around after 3-5 years and not another chinese company that changes name anytime something questionable happens.
Personally, I wouldn't buy an expensive laptop/phone to cheap out on a spare charger/cable but I would like others to let me know if they did or didn't have any bad experiences.
Eh, Baseus is an established brand IN China. They have only recently moved into the North American market. High quality brand well known on sites like AliExpress for at least 6-7 years now.

Can you point to a comparable and superior device that isn't Chinese made and quite expensive--or a Chinese made one that's a lot cheaper with comparable features?

Which for most people isn't important.

It is, if you use the PD 3.0 USB-C ports or the QC 3.0 USB-A port. Can you give examples of faster chargers?

I'm starting to suspect that there are some anti-Baseus/Chinese "shills" here, given all the cheap shots taken at both on this site of late.

Thanks. Almost makes more sense for my use case. It was previously $33 after $5 off coupon. But the extra USB-A port and 2 AC outlets of the unit I posted about seem worth it to me, plus I prefer it being corded over plug-in. Note that this is a lightning deal that goes away later today. But, still, tempting...

Does it still cuts all output momentarily when calculating new output whenever a new USB device is plugged or removed? I power several devices using usb-dc adapters so that is not acceptable at all.

I do not trust, and will never purchase this brand again. Last week I bought a Baseus 65W power bank (yes to a commenter below, I realize that this isn't the same device- but I am talking about my BRAND experience). It would discharge to 32% then shut off. When I charged it again, it started at 0%, and after a short time went straight to 32%, then continued to charge "normally". It delivered enough power to run my LG Gram 17 for over an hour, but didn't seem to have nearly the advertised capacity. It was $60 - $12 coupon. I returned it the same day I received it. Oh, and their manual didn't mention the power button at all.

I bought a less expensive 100W power bank that works perfectly, and has something like the rated capacity (and it also supports PPS). I got that for $50 - $6 coupon. Then after I received it and tested it, I bought three more of those.

ALSO: Baseus promptly answered my question about the power button, but without mentioning the it except as a subject matter (the button isn't the display). Here's the reply they sent:
Quote :
The instructions for the button:
1. In the no-load state, the button displays the current power at one time.
2. Under the load state, the button displays the current power once, the current-voltage again, and the current again.
3. When multiple devices output at the same time, display the total output current of multiple devices.
4. When the input and output sides, only the input voltage and current are displayed.
Hope the above information is helpful. If any questions, please feel free to contact us.

I still don't quite get why this is such a big deal, especially since other makers' devices do this too. How is this bad in a real-world situation?

Sorry about this unfortunate experience but it was for a power bank, not a charger. Again, if I see anything wrong with this unit when I get it, I'll post it here and on Amazon.

Yeah in most use cases this is not acceptable. So annoying these multi port manufacturers are doing this. Would just be better buying all single port devices.

I have a network switch and a mini PC powered by usbc-to-dc adapters, they don't have internal batteries so power cutoff during re-negotiation will shut them off and is pretty bad.

That being said I checked ISDT power series and they indeed look have independent circuits for each port so they don't re-negotiate at all and might fit my use case better.

Last year I was looking for a charger and I considered buying this but it came 2nd and I ended up getting an Aukey charger. I remember this charger was $25. Idk if I'll consider this a deal. I have their cables and they're great.

In which case this momentary shutoff is obviously unacceptable and potentially even dangerous, to your equipment, anything attached to it and any data involved, and you need something that won't shut off even for an instant. Either a charger that doesn't shut off momentarily, or a power bank that keeps the juice flowing, or something in-between. In any case, this thing is clearly not for you and thanks for pointing this out so anyone in a similar situation understands the implications. I'll soon find out myself if this is actually more bother than I expected.
