Deals like these are why I went with Ridgid. Maybe they're not always best (although this tool is their crown jewel and has a legitimate claim to one of the best high torque) but they're always damn good tools and if you're patient enough you can get everything you want at bottom tier tool prices. Definitely cementing itself as the best bang for your buck brand.

A lot of people don't want/can't justify paying for top tier but also don't want cheap garbage. Ridgid is the brand for folks like that. I used to be a fan of Kobalt, but their deals are so sporadic and vary based on location that it can be frustrating. Hercules new brushless line up intrigues me, but until they've proven themselves Ridgid is king in this market. The LSA is just the icing on the cake.

Wow, 5 years, good for them. That warranty is apparently new and only applies to certain tools, others are just 90 days.

There's really few problems with LSA, as long as people follow through on the registration. And when the batteries wear out, all batteries eventually do, a simple phone call gets new ones sent on their way.

Factory Blems from DTO can be registered for the LSA. There's even a DTO selection on the registration form for where it was purchased. And even though it says to mail in the receipt, I've always just uploaded it and if the registration hasn't processed in a few weeks, just send them a note asking them to review it and it goes right through.

Don't know if it's any good but the deal on the thickness planer is insane! https://www.directtoolsoutlet.com/product/AP1305

I literally just ordered this for 120 during the sale. Anyone know how easy it is to cancel or modify an order?

Hercules 90 day warranty versus Ridgid lifetime (free replacement batteries), leaves no question who to go with.
The new brushless have a 5 year over the counter warranty. You're supposed to be able to just bring a broken tool in and get a replacement same day. I'd definitely take that over the current ridgid LSA that I've heard can be hit or miss. They're really trying to push the brand reputation lately. I've been a fan of my Ridgid tools but the Hercules stuff they've been coming out with recently are really well built. With that new 5 year warranty it could make it a competitor.

If it has not moved to processing yet it's pretty easy. If it is processing they will need to contact the warehouse. Still worth giving them a call and seeing if they can.

It said processing but the woman I spoke with said she'd contact the warehouse to cancel. Hopefully that happens, canceled the planer order from this morning and combined the two instead

So tempting! I need a torque wrench, but keep hoping they put the Ryobi on sale...I don't really want to have to buy into another battery ecosystem.

Exact same reasons I switched to Ridgid a couple years ago. I've been slowly building my inventory and replacing my Kobalts. Does the LSA apply if purchased at DTO? I thought I read in the LSA statement that the tool has to be purchased from Home Depot?

I haven't needed the high torque yet and at $120 the other day I still didn't need it. But $95, might as well have it around

from DTO
LSA applies only to factory blemished. Factory refurbished does not qualify for LSA

I missed the newer model deal on HomeDepot for $155 with battery, charger and tool bad after hack. I'll wait for that deal again, the newer model is 2lbs lighter and real world test shows only 2% different in torque power compare to this older model.

They make it a pain to get the LSA from DTO but factory blemished do qualify. It will say you have to mail your receipt or something certified to ridgid, but as long as you have your emails you can use the chat feature on the website and get it approved same day.

Amazing deal on the batteries, but sold out. At least I got the HD deal for the 6ah and 4ah max output batteries.

I'm tempted on the framing nail gun, but I don't even work in construction and have most ridigd tools... though I do like to do work in the house and learn lol

Share the link pls? Didn't see that deal and I've been following Ridgid the whole time
