If you're looking for a similar material that's a bit more affordable, Columbia developed a DWR-free 100% waterproof breathable shell material called OutDry years back. I've been using it for a few months in Portland winter and haven't been disappointed.
If I hadn't got that one, I probably would have leaned towards one of the newer hyper breathable membranes like Neoshell, Ascentshell, Pertex Shield "Air" or Futurelight.
I can't find my old OutDry, a heavier grey-ish (Titanium?) I picked up at a/their outlet store. It was a fortunate lark-buy, not bothered by that inside-out sheen-grip look being unusual back then. Label said permeable (silicone-encapsulated thread does the beading/venting), good enough for CA. Mine probably pre-dates the Eco version's PFAS/PFC-free materials.
Nice! Love that rain forest nestled around micro-climates. Portland / NW territories is traditionally the Wet-Test-of-the-West, but CA Bay-Area stole your rain last month. Thanks, but please, you can take back your atmospheric river now.
REI used to sell their own branded jacket like this for about $200 but they discontinued them.
Reminds of the Spyder deal from 6 years ago where lots of people scored their jackets for 75% off.
