If you don't mind the aesthetics, then its cheaper to get a dual and a single one when they go on sale for about $40-$50, or even less. I bought my dual monitor stand for $16, and my single for $17.
This might be good for my work setup tho. I'll have to think about it, kinda niche still.

My issue with multiple monitors is getting the mouse across all the screen real estate, even with a pretty fast cursor speed.
