I have these. They do what they're supposed to do, and this is a decent price. They're made by Radians and branded as DeWalt. Moderately uncomfortable if you wear with glasses for a long time. Sound is good, probably enhanced by the good seal you should get from earmuffs as opposed to headphones. They don't get louder than I think 80-85dBa since the point is hearing protection. Microphone also works decent for Bluetooth calls. I use them regularly for various projects around the house.

There are a lot of complaints on HomeDepot's site that these stop working or taking a charge after about 6 months to a year. Some complants about the buttons stop working too.

I tend not to trust Amazon's reviews anymore, and I don't think anyone is putting fake reviews on HD... yet.

This is a pass for me.

With proper noise blocking, noise canceling can really help silence outside noise. Conversely, noise canceling on its own is meaningless without a good seal (think Samsung Galaxy Buds Live which have active noise canceling, but it doesn't do diddly squat because there really is no seal). Personally, I'd prioritize noise blocking first and then if that is satisfactory then having good noise canceling in addition would be a bonus.

Yes. I use inexpensive round buds without the stem. I think my hearing protection is rated at 34. It's worked well for me. When they fall out of my ears they wind up in the hearing protection cups and not in the grass or snow to get lost or destroyed. So far no problems with extra sweat caused by the hearing protection.
The only problem is you can't reach the control buttons without taking the protection off.

Summary from video review: DeWalt benefits from external controls for volume and track change while the 3M only has a single button that can be used for On/Off, Pause (single click) and Next Track (double click). However, the DeWalt apparently does not get very loud while the 3M is louder.

I personally have used the 3M WorkTunes for years and love them. I was interested in the DeWalt at this price point as a backup, but if they don't get loud enough to use with a mower then they aren't very useful to me.

I think you're better off buying a mid range set of bluetooth ear plugs and regular ear muffs... That's what I do. Then you're not dependent on whatever bluetooth and batteries they have in these things.

I used to do this. Dedicated device like this is a lot more comfortable. I have the 3M WorkTunes and have had it for years. It gets a lot of time on a charge. I've never done a 12 hour flight or anything, but I'll make it through a whole season mowing my lawn without needing to recharge them.

May give these a try. I have tried muffs with ear buds while mowing, etc and with any sweat, all my buds fall out my ear and just lay in the muff. While you can still hear a little, almost always drop the bud to ground once taking the earmuffs off. My experience is that it is better to have dedicated muffs with sound. Beats, AirPods Pro and gen 1, skull candy and JBLs all fall out of my ears.

I've gone months between usage on my 3M Worktunes and am always surprised they don't need a charge - great battery life. They do tend to get a bit uncomfortable after a couple hours of use because they are tight, but then again they need to have some tension on them to keep the sound out. Great at keeping the sound of power equipment out though while listening to music.

Absolutely. Of course, you could spend a lot less if you're just using these for the gun range and don't need the Bluetooth audio.
