I have these. They do what they're supposed to do, and this is a decent price. They're made by Radians and branded as DeWalt. Moderately uncomfortable if you wear with glasses for a long time. Sound is good, probably enhanced by the good seal you should get from earmuffs as opposed to headphones. They don't get louder than I think 80-85dBa since the point is hearing protection. Microphone also works decent for Bluetooth calls. I use them regularly for various projects around the house.

There are a lot of complaints on HomeDepot's site that these stop working or taking a charge after about 6 months to a year. Some complants about the buttons stop working too.

I tend not to trust Amazon's reviews anymore, and I don't think anyone is putting fake reviews on HD... yet.

This is a pass for me.

Anyone tried ear buds under plain jane muffs?
Yes, been doing it for years. I use Jabra 65t earbuds and some cheap earmuffs from Amazon that are rated at 32db, which may be an exaggerated rating, but they do block sound as well as my 3M earmuffs. As someone posted, if you have controls on your earbuds, you have to lift the earmuffs off, or you can just use the device itself. I just keep the device (an old cellphone that I don't care if it gets damaged) in the cupholder of my lawn tractor and hold my beer in my hand because the tractor has power steering, so you only need one hand on the wheel.

I just use some cheap jbl buds with basic 3m muffs. works great if you fit the buds properly. I wear glasses. if glasses get water in them or I have to remove glasses after extended work it can get annoying, but that's pretty rare even after 6 to 8 hours.

reason I prefer it is my 3m muffs are comfortable, the jbl fit well and perform well, and if the jbl headphones go bad I bought a couple in a deal for $10, and will likely buy more again later when a deal comes through.

bumping around shouldn't loosen the headphones if you fit them right, but is a possibility. tensing your jaw/ears will likely cause the Headphones to come loose, but again, everyone is different.

That's what I currently do. Sometimes wireless ear buds and sometimes wired. Both work great and I get my preferred sound and reduced external noise.

Yet…

Exactly, it's only a matter of time. I'd give it 1-2 years max.
