I answer yourself: because people buy it.
It's on the label, every purchaser has free will, they can buy or not.
See, that's how economics/markets work.
If people buy stuff, they make more of it, if people stop buying, they stop making it.
Supply/Demand.

I ask myself; Why do they insist to manufacture High Fructose Corn Syrup Based Preserves like this? ...It is so unfortunate.

I'm tempted to bite on this just because I didn't even know pineapple preserves were a thing that existed until now. Pretty sure I've never seen it on store shelves...maybe it's a regional thing? OR maybe I'm just not very observant, that's also entirely possible

It's seasonal in Kansas City. Some stores might have some still in stock, but not available everywhere until around May.

It's also a lack of education and also people being too lazy to read the labels. These companies know they can make more money when they cheap out on bad ingredients. It's also why companies use things like sunflower and canola oil instead of extra virgin olive oil. It comes down to what will make the most profit and what they can get away with. They've gotten me before. I've bought new products at Costco that look good and then read the labels at home and think "Aw F...."

That's exactly why cigarette companies are still in business too. Because people will buy the product even though it's going to lead to premature disease and death.
