These would all be a must buy if Microsoft had an app where you can watch it on your phone or tv.
Wish Vudu, amazon or apple would price match, can't start another video ecosystem
The Microsoft Movies and TV app makes it pretty easy to download the files for content you own if you want to drop it into a Plex server to stream via that app. I realize its not ideal, but doesn't take too long either

Right these are all fantastic prices, but I'd want to watch through my Roku. But as stated in the post, TV shows don't go through Movies Anywhere. And from what I'm seeing online there's not a simple solution for that. Unless I'm missing something obvious.

You can watch it through your TV (I do) by using either a physical HDMI cable if you're computer is close enough (or with an active-boost HDMI cable for longer runs), a wireless keyboard and mouse. If you want wireless HDMI, transmitters and receivers exist for that as well. I use the cable because it's more reliable. I basically share my computer's screen (or use the TV screen as an extended screen) and watch through a regular web browser or computer app (such as Microsoft Movies & TV), depending on which is better. Works for me; Your Mileage May Vary. I get all the advantages of TV viewing and the sales that Microsoft sometimes offers, plus you can watch from any streaming source that your computer has access to in case apps for your favorite streaming device don't exist. Hope that helps!

PS: I also wish Microsoft would join the streaming device app bandwagon, but until they do (if ever) this works.

These files are DRM'ed so good luck getting Plex to stream them. They only play in MS Movies and TV app on my PC.
