Bought a refurb from buydig end of December. TV arrived with cracked screen and getting them to return it has been a nightmare. The customer service has been awful and they just keep running me around in circles. I would never buy anything from this company again. I ended up buying a samsung with the Educators discount and now im trying to figure out if ill need to involve my credit card company to get the buydig thing sorted.

Every time this deal comes up people mention the 3rd party warranty holder is garbage to deal with and almost never covers anything.

Hm holding out for a deal on a non-refurb. Superbowl coming up and with the release of LG's new OLED tv, the G3, probable that the price of a new C2 will drop.

I got a new 65" C1 last year and kind of want the upgrade to 77" but I was barely able to hang the 65 incher on my wall by myself, there's no way I could do it with a 77.

...now I am trying to come up with systems to do it anyways, pulleys attached to the ceiling maybe?
Ask a friend to help you out?

Based on my previous experience with setting up LCD TVs and being in a rush to play with my new toy, I actually thought I could setup my 65" C1 myself as well and tried but quickly got stuck, I felt like trying to move it any further would risk bending the glass too much. I did not anticipate at all how bendy the OLED screen felt, it wasn't a totally solid framed piece like my LCD TVs where you could just grab the TV frame from the top and bottom and move it without fear of the screen bending at all. Doing that with an OLED could break the glass, LG explicitly says do not hold it from the top and bottom. I've read of delivery guys breaking these OLEDs because they supported it that way.

IMO you'd be crazy to try to setup a 77" by yourself. Why go through all the trouble of making a pulley system, just pay for the delivery where they do this for you, ask a friend, or hire someone for $20 from craigslist, taskrabbit, etc. to help you.

Well I see I'm not the only weirdo who has people who could help but simply prefers not to have anyone else involved in their never ending projects. So if you are sure you want to risk it, go down this dark and dangerous road, here's how it's done. For others this is for entertainment purposes only. Oh, and in the middle of it, I said thIs is crazy and took a picture.
You will need an articulating mount, a large weight rated screw in eyelet from Home Depot, and a come along winch, two wide tow straps. The mount must be able to reach eyelet exactly, that you screw into ceiling stud. Another excuse to buy cool laser tool. My tv is 85 inch Sony at 105 lbs. Place foam running parallel between tow straps and bottom edge of tv. Under pressure foam cannot press on glass.
Super slowly raise (I mean slow) to allow pressures to stabilize, and to make corrections to strapage as to not pressure glass. Then raise to height and bolt mount to tv. Slowly lower ( I mean slow), done. I left eyelet in place. No one has ever noticed it.
What was that… Yes I am the engineer on the crazy train.

They do sell these with a two year warranty as well for those worried about getting a refurbished unit. Those cost 2099 and have no further warranty. Same seller.
Where are you seeing the $2099 option w/2-yr warranty?

Guess I misread your comment - assumed you were referring to new unit for $2099. The original deal is also refurbished with a 4-yr at a lower price. Not sure why the eBay option would be preferred (unless warranty provider is more reliable).

It has 2 less HDMI 2.1 ports and is slightly less bright than the C2. It's a lesser model but to say it's inferior is a bit dramatic. You're splitting hairs at this point.

This right here. For those that dont need the extra 2.1 HDMI you could save quite a bit of money depending on the size tv you choose. Saying its inferior is pretty extreme.

I bought this deal Feb 2nd on the West Coast and TV was ready to schedule a delivery Feb 9th. They email you telling you to inspect the delivery and plug it in to check it thoroughly but the delivery persons were very impatient and not willing to wait, telling us to sign and that any problems we can call the seller. We let them go after seeing no external damage on the box or unit but didn't have time to turn it on.

Thankfully the TV works great with no screen issues, there was a minor ding on the stand, only had 12 hours in it (you can check by going into System -> Devices -> TV Management -> Time On). The only other problem is we received the AUA warehouse model when what we bought was technically the PUA (even the box description says it), but the received model on the box shows it's the AUA as well as the TV settings. Currently in contact with BuyDig over email and waiting to hear back as there are possibly some minor differences.

Glad you're having a better experience. I also purchased on Feb 2nd, received shipping email on the 3rd with a scheduled delivery of the 17th. I called yesterday since no updates on the tracking info and they said it was sitting in my city. I called the local carrier, but they had gone home by 3:30pm. I called Buydig to get more info and they called the carrier today, who promptly called me and delivered it this afternoon.

I tipped the delivery driver $20 and he stayed and even helped me unbox it to inspect it. Everything looked ok, except the box was generic, no branding at all. No plastic on the screen, but it's refurb. Turned it on and there's a burnt in Fox News logo in the bottom left corner. 575 hrs of usage. The remote looks very used as well and the magic wand part doesn't work at all. I boxed it all up and emailed for a return.

I tried another BuyDig deal a few years back for a LG C1 refurb but the top corner of the screen was bowed in, so I returned it. Took a chance on this one, but I don't think I'll be doing that again.
