I really don't understand why people post these. If there is a specific deal, post that. Constant posting of Sam's and Costco circulars gets tiresome.

I understand your point but being a member of both Sam's and Costco, it's nice to get a heads-up when something I really want is about to go on sale, and typically the OP will point out some of the best deals of the bunch. But again, I see what you mean.

My local Sams is screwy. They're always out of the Caffe Verona Starbucks, but the Sams by my job is always out of Pike Place.

Even the physical circular is nearly useless to look at, instead of having the prices it tells you items and say 2 dollars off. So if you don't know their regular price, you still need to look up the price to know if it's a decent deal.

Especially with all the price increases lately. 2 dollars off what..

I hate the Albertsons Tom thumb ads when they list the meat buy one get one free but don't tell you how much the first one is

Fair enough, but in my experience almost anything at Sam's Club or Costco is at least a halfway decent deal. I do most of my shopping at club stores because I hate grocery stores (at least around here) where you get scammed unless you are a slave to the sales and coupons (and sometimes even then). Even a couple of dollars off makes it an even better buy, especially if it was something I was going to buy at full price anyway.

And even if the price WAS posted, the package sizes are more often than not different, so you'd still have to do the research to compare if it's a good deal vs. other stores.

Also if you log into your Sam's Club account online and browse the ad with your local store selected, it will generally show you the actual prices. I appreciate the posts here just as a reminder there's a new sale, and for the discussion to see if others found good deals I might have overlooked scanning through.

I like when posted in advance, even if just a little, so I know whether or not to take a plunge on a purchase (especially if costly) or wait til the book is effective.

For me it's a disincentive to even look at the discounts

You apparently paid for a subscription to wait for other people to tell you about the discounts!!!?

How lazy low can you go!!!?
