I think this is the exact one I use on my Toyota and it's fine. Also, resolution doesn't need to be HD for a backup camera and I believe most standard composite cameras only go up to 576i? Correct me if I'm wrong about that.

A known brand? You saying 'DoHonest' isn't doing it for you?
As far as composite video, there is no limit to what you can cram over an RCA cable (I mean, visually there is but you can technically run a 4K analog signal over a shitty 50ohm coax if you want). However if you are going to want it to be read by anything normal you are going to want to follow some kind of standard, and I would guess that would be NTSC (720x480) or PAL (720x576).
I got this and installed it this past weekend to replace a cheap back up cam that came with a Boss head unit. It works fine. When I am in reverse, there is an annoying yellow warning banner ("Watch your surroundings before proceeding" or something like that) and it obscures the upper part of the image on the head unit.

What does this plug into?
Car backup cameras are standardized? I can just swap this for the one in my Palisade?
