Project Farm's highest rated drill bits. These don't get reduced on Amazon very often. That said, if you live in Ohio, Menard's has this set on sale for $24.98… but alas, most of us do not live near a Menard's.

Be careful with Drill Hog. They like to slap American flags on everything and often will use a US made case, but most of their actual bits are of unknown origin.

They also just use a shopify website, have no phone number, and use a rented UPS box for their address. Not really much of a way to run a legitimate business.

I sure wouldn't pay a premium because they have a US flag on their card.
Sorry, I have neither; so nothing to trade. I do have a Rural King, though!

As an aside - I do own this set. I own a bunch of different drill bit sets. This Bosch set does live up to the Project Farm hype. I had to drill out a couple completely rusted bolts on a sensor on one of my cars (using a close quarter drill) and these bits cut through that steel like the proverbial hot knife through butter. I agree the MSRP is a bit of a joke, but these are unquestionably worth the normal ~ $35 Amazon asking price.

Although that's a bit high, and it probably never actually sells for that MSRP, cobalt bits are expensive. You really don't want to waste these where a high speed steel bit will suffice. These are for drilling into really hard materials.

Yes. It's highly recommended to use cutting fluid or other heat mitigation tricks, but otherwise they sharpen just fine.

I have this exact set and it works fantastic especially when other bits fail. I need to learn to sharpen them though because I've abused a couple bits so might as well grab a second set.

Possible anyone has first hand experience with these Bosch M42 VS harbor freight M35?
Wish there was a affordable M42 115pc indexed kit out there.

I have these m42 cobalt as well as an m35 set. The m42 have 8% cobalt over 5%. The both work, but the m42 drill a little easier. I have broken more m42 bits though because they are more brittle when I push through the hole and rotate them. For steel, these m42 are the best.

I needed to install a front mount intercooler on my VW. I tried Kobalt, Dewalt, and Makita, and they all broke. This one went through my front crash guard, it's well worth the price

FWIW...
sounds like you need less pressure, less speed and some cutting oil perhaps Wink

because Amazon is full of sh1t... MSRP listed on their site is always garbage.
CCC says average price since 2019 is 32$, still a good deal, just not earthshattering.

Low speed, less pressure, cutting oil, yes I'm well aware of that but thanks for your comment for others to see for proper hard metal drilling technique
