Please keep in mind these are not expandable. The expandable ones are about the same price when they go on sale.
I got the expandable ones two years ago but retrospectively I should have got those instead. I am not into weightlifting, I just want a bit of strength exercise and 50lbs is more than enough for that for the vast majority of people. The downside of the expandable ones is the lack of granularity in weight changing with the slider bar. You have to open some hatch and remove little steel weights inside which is a pain and most people will just not do.
This is not $500 regular price, maybe $350. Also doesn't look like the ones you can expand to 70 or 90lb either.

When expandable EXP hit this price and $120 extensions we'll be back to pre pandemic prices. This is pretty close.

F price gouging!

Had a set of these for about a year. Really enjoyed them. If you don't need heavier weight, or just want a pair for accessory exercises, get yourself a set. I replaced mine with EXP USA Elites up to 90.

Unfortunately for you, "price gouging" only applies to the following: fuel, food, medicine, lodging, building materials, construction tools, or other "Necessities". This is not a necessity my friend. So the law of supply & demand applies here.
Lol yep, I think the term here is "artificial inflation" instead.

Inflation is only affecting commodities like food for the most part. While items like these have been oversupplied/overstocked. We'll be seeing some crazy sales on fitness related items soon enough.

Look at prices for rubber dumbbells, they're regularly hitting less than $1/lb. Then look at how popular those prices would have been last month lol. Now they're easy to find.

I have the expandable version. Only one expansion left to get. 70-90. But I saw they had a commercial pair that goes even higher.

While this is true, keep in mind that these go up in 5lb increments while the expandable ones go up in 10lb increments. You get the 5lb (and 2.5lb) increments with the adder weights in the handles. Some may find this cumbersome. I did and ended up just buying another pair of handles that I keep empty.

I wish you hadn't said this because now I'm tempted to do the same 😅

Having said that, +1 to pretty much every comment here. Love my expandable set ("USA elite"), but the 2.5 lb adders can be a bit of a pain.

Also, the set in this post seems a bit more maneuverable. Definitely great to have around the home gym!

I always think, should I buy these things, OR ...

Mow grass using a push lawn mower ...
Grow vegetables, digging dirt, manual labor ..

It is all hard work and exercise, now I no need to buy dumb bells or pay gym fees.

Brilliant!

Great entry set up for your home gym. However I just wanted to add that these are awkwardly large and certain movements are just hard to achieve a full ROM.
